Canons High School are looking for a qualified, passionate and enthusiastic teacher of Drama. Our department is comprised of Art, Drama, Media Studies, Photography and Dance, all of which are popular choices for students for both GCSE and A level. Students enjoy their time in the Creative Arts and we have high standards, both in our teaching and outcomes for students, and students achieve excellent results.
A big part of department is the extra-curricular programme. Each year we run a school musical which a large number of Creative Arts students are involved in. Previous musicals have included Little Shop of Horrors, Bugsy Malone and Fame. We also run Media, Drama, Art and Photography clubs and competitions.
Alongside the opportunities for students there are opportunities for teaching staff to develop their careers in an exciting and innovative department.
