Job overview

We are looking for an innovative, creative and energetic drama teacher who is willing to immerse themselves in the school ethos and community. As a department, we teach all key stages and aim to deliver a diverse curriculum that inspires students to be critical thinkers and grow in confidence. Practically using transferable skills, we work collaboratively to support our school in delivering and maintaining a high quality of education, while using our strengths to create a safe and stimulating environment for all our students. The readiness to teach mixed ability classes at key stage three is desirable and firm subject knowledge of practitioners and theatre history is essential to teach at key stage four and five. Passion is at the heart of our practice, and it is essential that you can motivate and inspire out students.

Our curriculum is specifically designed to cyclically teach skills that challenge and inspire students to make progress. We want to enhance the enrichment of our all our students so that they reach their full potential and transition from education, into their chosen career path.

With over 1400 students, the school is academically successful and consistently oversubscribed.  Rated “Outstanding” by Ofsted in our previous two reports, the school has much to celebrate.

Ofsted says: ·

  • “Students work hard, concentrate in lessons and participate enthusiastically”
  • “Very harmonious and respectful relationships between students and between students and staff”
  • “Students’ progress is outstanding”

Learning and teaching is at the forefront of everything we do and as a teacher at All Hallows you will be able to develop your professional skills within your strong departmental team.

Teachers are encouraged to challenge and strive for on-going improvements, from both a curriculum and pastoral perspective.

We wish to appoint a well-qualified teacher to the above post. Applications from Newly Qualified Teachers looking for their first post or more experienced teachers looking for a career move are equally welcome. The position is open to full or part-time candidates.

All staff are highly valued and are offered an extensive CPD package with a relentless focus on continually developing and improving expertise, and striving for excellence both in the classroom and beyond.

All Hallows benefits from very strong transport links to London and the South East and staff have access to numerous sporting facilities after school hours including a swimming pool, fitness room and dance studio.

An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be required, which will reveal both spent and unspent convictions, cautions and bind-overs, as well as pending prosecutions, which aren’t “protected” under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975.
