We are looking for a Teacher of English. This is an exciting opportunity to join GLT/ Brakenhale School and become an integral member of the English team. We are proud of our English curriculum: it has been designed with a passion and love of literature that we seek to pass onto the students in our care. We recognise that confidence and success in English underpins all subjects and wider life and want our students to leave as fluent writers and confident orators who have been inspired by their experience in our subject and who will make an impact on the world through their empathy and ambition. The team enjoys working closely together and are looking for someone who will share our ethos and have the love of teaching English at the heart of all we do. The successful candidate will join a team who are passionate about engaging and inspiring young people in their learning. We are looking to recruit a colleague with both the commitment and relevant skills to drive our raising standards agenda across the whole ability range.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
● To implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for students and to support a designated curriculum area as appropriate
● To monitor and support the overall progress and development of students as a Teacher/Tutor
● To facilitate and encourage a learning experience which provides students with the opportunity to accelerate with their learning
● To contribute to raising standards of student attainment across the school
● To share and support the school’s responsibility to provide and monitor opportunities for personal and academic growth
You will need:
● Relevant degree
● Qualified Teacher Status or be working towards
● Experience of working in a school setting
