Job overview

Tes is supporting this Independent Secondary school in the appointment of a well-qualified, inspiring and dynamic teacher who is required to teach English.

Over 90 girls study the subject at Advanced level or at Higher Level as part of the IB Diploma Programme, with many of them choosing English related degree courses at leading universities.

The successful applicant will be part of a team of twelve specialists in their subject discipline in a department that is well-resourced, and where full support with induction and CPD is provided.

The Department is proud of its lively, collaborative and diligent approach. It aims to get the best from its students in ways that are both intellectually demanding and caring; this results in a dynamic atmosphere both in the classroom and in the many co-curricular enrichment opportunities that are on offer.

All teachers are expected to contribute to the rich co-curricular life of the College, but there are no residential duties.

As one of the world’s leading schools, and with a strong pioneering heritage, their aim is to embody excellence, independence and empowerment in the education of young women.

You will join a friendly and supportive community of committed professionals who believe that the students are at the heart of all they do.

Applications are welcome from graduates and teachers from either the independent or maintained sector or someone who is looking to enter the profession.

All applicants need to have the Right to Work in the UK to be considered for the role.
