JLC is offering an exciting opportunity to join our expanding Languages department. This year we have a record number of students and we need you to help us support and guide our students to their achievements. We are looking for someone who is deeply passionate about the subject, enjoys working as part of a team, is able to consistently deliver high-quality results, and adept at inspiring and motivating students to help achieve their dreams.
The ideal candidate will be ready to work with our Level 2 provision, providing quality lessons for our students looking to get their qualification for GCSE English. There is future scope for Level 3 courses (A-Level English and Literature) dependent on qualifications and future student growth. We are looking for an adaptive teacher that is able to create bespoke work to groups to get the results that the students need to move forward with their educational journey.

John Leggott College is a mixed, selective, non-denominational, general further education college situated in Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire. It is a 16-plus institution based on a single modern campus close to the town centre, with good access to surrounding rural areas. There are around 1,700 learners at the college, between the ages of 16-19, studying a range of academic and vocational courses.
The college was founded in 1958 as John Leggott Grammar School. The sixth form was established in 1968 in the midst of a Scunthorpe education reorganisation.
