Eastbrook school is an increasingly popular and rapidly improving ‘all through’ school in Dagenham.  

We particularly welcome applications from experienced teachers and ECTs with experience of Media in Years 10-11 and/or Film in Post 16. With the growth in these subject there is the possibility of additional responsibility for a suitably experienced candidate.

The successful candidate is someone who:

·        Is an English specialist who can teach KS3 and KS4 with the ability to teach KS4 Media and / or KS5 Film an advantage

·        A positive teacher who can enthuse, motivate and engage students and is committed to excellence and high student achievement

·        A teacher with a passion for working with young people and a perseverance to make a difference to them and their future

·        A teacher with a focus on their own professional development and a drive to work with us to become

·        Has a strong commitment to developing the curriculum and enrichment activities

Eastbrook School is an Ofsted rated Good, all-through school in the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham and is part of the Barking Abbey family. Founded in 1933, Eastbrook has a well-established history of serving the local community, with many generations of families attending as students and even joining as staff. The primary school opened in 2016 and is growing in size year on year. The secondary school transferred into new, state of the art buildings in 2017, benefitting from purpose-built specialist learning environments with industry level resources.
