The Role

We are looking for a dynamic, energetic, well qualified and highly committed graduate with a proven track record of teaching Geography or similar from Year 7 to A-level.

This is a fixed-term position for the Spring Term 2025.

The candidate

This is an exciting opportunity within an expanding department, who are experiencing Increasing popularity at both GCSE and A Level. This post would suit an experienced classroom practitioner or a well-experienced NQT. Candidates should be able to challenge ambitious, well-motivated students at CLSG and help develop their interest and enthusiasm for the subject by highlighting the value and Importance of studying Geography in the 21st Century. The successful candidate should be willing to teach geography to all key stages, plan and deliver fieldwork and help to further develop the Key Stage 3 curriculum.

The Department

All students study a diverse and exciting geography curriculum In Years 7, 8 and 9, which aims to prepare all students for the demands of the GCSE syllabus. At GCSE (AQA) and A Level (Edexcel), geography is an increasingly popular option, with many of our students choosing to study geography further at Oxbridge and Russell Group universities.

We aim to provide the students with a stimulating and interesting experience, leaving them with positive memories of their geography lessons as well as a range of transferable skills, regardless of when they choose to continue with the subject or opt for one of the other humanities.
