Job Title:    Teacher of Geography

Hours:        37.5 hours per week

Salary Grade:   United Learning payscale (£32,850 to £48,050 per annum)

Start date:       September 2024

This role is suitable for ECT’s

  Key tasks:

  •  Maintain the Academy’s high academic expectations and deliver high quality lessons.
  • Deliver high quality, well planned lessons that enable all students to progress.
  • Actively engage with CPD to improve and develop understanding of pedagogy to support students to learn well.
  • Read widely around teaching and learning and their subject.
  • To use regular, thorough and accurate assessment that informs learners how to improve that will contribute to student progress.
  • Creating Schemes of Learning which enable all students to become effective and resilient learners.
  • To use excellent subject knowledge to teach the course content.
  • To use technology to support teaching, which is engaging and exciting.
  • To motivate, support and challenge students to ensure that they have good attitudes to learning.
  • To demonstrate professional characteristics at all times with all stakeholders, colleagues, students and parents.
  • To contribute to the Academy’s continuous improvement.
