Job overview

Are you All About Aldersley? We hope very much that you are!

To be all about Aldersley means to be all about high expectations, all about ambition and all about wanting to make a difference in a local community that needs you. There is doing a job and there is making a difference - we are looking very much for the latter, and we want you to get in touch if that means you.

Aldersley High School is a diverse, high successful 11-18 comprehensive school set in the north-east of Wolverhampton, near to the commuter link of Junction 2 of the M54. We serve a vibrant and ambitious community that is used to having a strong school at its heart, and we would love for you to be part of it.

Aldersley was the founding school of the Amethyst Trust, which has expanded significantly over the past few years to now encompass five schools in a growing and thriving Trust partnership. We benefit from fantastic relationships with our sister schools, meaning that there is great opportunity for networking, professional development and ultimately professional success at Aldersley and beyond in our Trust.

Aldersley has been judged as 'Good' in its most recent inspections in both 2018 and 2023 and has maintained a strong Progress 8 score and above average attainment throughout this period. We have students who want to do well, and our ambition is very clear: we will never settle for anything less than the best for our students in their achievement, their behaviour and their wider personal development.

The Amethyst Trust is at the forefront of educational thinking, with innovative teaching with a knowledge-rich edge, progressive ideas on feedback and staff wellbeing, and excellent provision for SEND students through our well-equipped Resource Base. We benefit from fantastic grounds and facilities, including excellent and regularly-updated ICT, and the Trust is in a strong position to make sure that our staff and students want for nothing.

If you think you that you might be All About Aldersley, please get in touch to arrange a call, email or visit to our school. This can be done by contacting Claire Hammond at chammond@aatrust.co.uk and we will be back in touch with you as soon as we can.

We're in search of a Teacher of Health and Social Care who meets the following criteria:

You will be highly committed to creating a strong culture of high expectations and engendering a love for of the subject both inside and beyond lessons, so that students have an experience in that they never forget.

We are looking for a teacher who can work part-time alongside our committed and successful Curriculum Team Leader, to work with healthy groups in Key Stage 4 and 5. You may be looking for a flexible opportunity that suits your lifestyle, and we can work with you to help this fit around existing commitments or family life if we are the school for you.
