We are looking to appoint a well-qualified, innovative, and enthusiastic part-time Teacher of History and Politics. The post is approximately 60-80 % depending on the ability to teach both History and Politics.
You will be joining a well-resourced and popular department which delivers GCSE History and both A Level History and A Level Politics. The department has membership of the History Association, with all its teaching materials and CPD.
At Luckley House, History is a very popular option for both GCSE and A Level, and many of our students have gone on to read the subject at University. We follow the AQA specification, teaching Nazi Germany, Medicine, the Age of Elizabeth, and Conflict and Tension in Asia at GCSE. At A Level, we teach the English Civil War and Russian history from 1855 to 1957. Politics has become an increasingly popular choice at A Level and also follows the AQA specification teaching the following content: Government in the UK, Politics of the UK, Government and Politics in the USA, Comparative Politics and Political Ideologies.
The successful applicant will be an inspirational Teacher of History and Politics and an outstanding classroom practitioner who has strong organisational skills and works well with others. The ability to teach Politics at A Level is an essential requirement for this role.

Luckley House School is a thriving coeducational Independent School, located in Wokingham, Berkshire, offering day and flexible boarding provision for pupils aged 11 to 18 years.
Entry to Luckley House School is available at 11+, 13+ and Sixth Form and in other year groups if places are available.
