Do you have a passion for History and making a difference in young peoples lives? 


We are seeking to appoint a Teacher of History to join our school and implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for our pupils at St Hilds Church of England School. The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating and encouraging a learning experience which provides students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential. 


We are looking for a teacher who can inspire and influence and who has: 

  • Qualified teacher status 
  • Successful track record as a teacher that demonstrates high quality teaching and learning and positive impact on learner outcomes.
  • Thorough understanding of how young people learn and the core features of an effective curriculum. 
  • Models good practice and leads by example with integrity, positivity, creativity, resilience and clarity.

About St. Hild's Church of England School

St Hild's Church of England School, named after Saint Hild of Whitby, the founding abbess of the monastery at Whitby, is a mixed, 11-16 secondary school located in Hartlepool, County Durham. It has been part of NEAT Academy Trust family of schools since April 2021.

St HIld’s aims to serve its local community by providing a high-quality, fully inclusive teaching and learning environment in a Christian context. We work tirelessly to ensure each child enjoys their education and is able to achieve the best they can, both academically and in terms of their personal and social development. Our recent SIAMS inspection rated us GOOD with EXCELLENT strands in the impact of Collective Worship and the effectiveness of Religious Education.
