We are looking to appoint an additional UK qualified Teacher of History who is ambitious and enthusiastic and will be an asset to our Humanities Team.
We are looking for:
- UK trained with relevant UK experience (if you are an ECT we can offer an outstanding support and mentoring programme)
- Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for your subject
- Ambition and high standards and expectations
You will be an enthusiastic, dedicated History teacher joining the passionate and highly experienced Humanities team. This is a large, ambitious department and we are looking for a candidate with both a rigorous interest in History and a sincere commitment to teaching a very diverse range of students. You will be expected to teach KS3 and some Edexcel KS4 this year. There is the possibility of teaching KS5, including Politics, in the future if you are interested.
History at Chiswick is a stable and high-flying department with a strong track record of academic success. It is welcoming and hugely supportive; our teachers across the department have a deep intellectual interest in their subject specialisms. We work well together to combine these, particularly through extra-curricular activities and talks. We organise a range of trips, domestically and internationally, across all key stages.
