Job overview
Teacher of Learning Support
Strathallan School, in the heart of Perthshire, is seeking to appoint a first-rate and enthusiastic Teacher of Learning Support who relates well to all children in the age range 8-13 and is passionate about learning and teaching. The desired start date for this position is April 2021.
The successful candidate will be an outstanding Learning Support specialist with demonstrable rapport with pupils and fellow staff. The focus of this role is primarily supporting the School's Prep School pupils, aged 8 to 13 although the post-holder may be asked to support our older pupils from time to time. We are seeking an enthusiastic, skilled teacher with excellent subject knowledge. The successful candidate will be experienced in teaching the 8 to 13 age range.
All our academic departments run clubs and societies to inspire pupils and foster academic ambition; all teachers are expected to contribute to these initiatives in some way.
We believe passionately in an all-round, balanced education that we offer and work extremely hard to balance the main priority of academic work with the social, extra-curricular and sporting opportunities that are on offer. This is not always easy, but it is central to what we do and a willingness to engage with this ethos is essential.
Please note that this is a full-time, permanent appointment with an intended start date of April 2021. Accommodation may be available as part of the remuneration package.
Completed applications along with a CV and covering letter should be submitted by the closing date of Friday, 12 February 2021 at 5pm.
