Required for January 2025, the Governors of this high achieving, oversubscribed Catholic Voluntary Academy seek to appoint an inspiring, enthusiastic, motivated and well qualified Teacher of Maths. ECT’s and trainee teachers are welcome to apply.

This appointment provides the opportunity to teach well-motivated, hard-working pupils. You will join a forward-thinking and high-achieving Maths faculty and be committed to delivering genuinely imaginative, engaging and varied lessons. This is an opportunity to take the subject in a new and exciting direction.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for an outstanding and proactive Maths Teacher, committed to high standards and expected to teach Maths at key stages 3 and 4, with the ability to teach Maths at A level. As a committed team player, you will have excellent organisational skills and the natural ability to motivate pupils with a passion for making a difference to the lives of young people.

St. Mary’s is a popular and highly successful school situated on the North West fringe of Leeds, close to the Yorkshire Dales. The school is part of the Bishop Wheeler Catholic Academy Trust which consists of 2 high schools and 14 primary schools. The November 2014 Ofsted inspection and the June 2019 Section 48 inspection both judged St Mary’s as an outstanding school.
