The Role:
All Saints' Catholic Voluntary Academy is seeking a committed and passionate Teacher of French and German to join our dynamic and supportive Modern Foreign Languages Department. This is a 0.8FTE, part-time, permanent position, perfect for someone who wants to inspire students with a love for languages while contributing to a vibrant and inclusive school community.
You will be responsible for:
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to develop the Modern Foreign Languages curriculum.
- Provide a safe and healthy environment following safeguarding procedures.
- Use innovative and resourceful teaching methods.
- Planning and delivering engaging and differentiated lessons.
- Assessing and tracking student progress to ensure high standards of achievement.
- Encouraging a positive learning environment aligned with the Catholic ethos of the Academy.
The Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for a candidate who:
- Is a qualified teacher with a strong background in French and German.
- Have good understanding of the KS3 and KS4 curriculum
- Have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills status (QTLS).
- Have previous experience working as a teacher or within a Secondary School setting.
- Have a passion for working with young people.
- Has a passion for languages and a commitment to maintaining high academic standards.
- Demonstrates excellent classroom management and interpersonal skills.
- Is supportive of the Catholic ethos of the school and contributes to the spiritual development of pupils.
- Has the ability to work both independently and as part of a dedicated team.
- Is keen to support the enrichment of language learning beyond the classroom.

All Saints’ Catholic Academy is a mixed, non-selective Roman Catholic secondary school with sixth form situated in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. The school has approximately 1,500 students between the ages of 11-18. All Saints’ Catholic Academy is part of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Multi Academy Trust.
Formerly All Saints RC Comprehensive School, All Saints’ Catholic Academy opened in 1974 and converted to academy status in 2014.
