Due to the promotion of the current postholder we are seeking to appoint an ambitious and innovative Teacher of Music. You will be a key player in the highly ambitious Extended Performing Arts faculty and will work with a highly committed team of professionals who are determined to develop the teaching of the Arts for all abilities up to GCSE level.
We are looking for a creative thinker who is an energetic and a dedicated teacher, who will engage, enthuse and challenge students to achieve their very best in Music. You must possess the skills and determination to bring out the best from students by making a significant contribution to our school community.
You will have excellent subject knowledge and be well informed on current educational developments and initiatives. You will work within a well-resourced curriculum area that has significantly improved GCSE results over recent years. The EPA team has worked hard to develop opportunities to enrich learning outside the classroom and a commitment to this aspect would be welcome.
The team have been well led and keen to make further progress. The diverse curriculum offer at Witton Park supports a high up take for EBacc subjects and option subjects. Outcomes for pupils in 2016 were judged to be good by Ofsted. We are now likely to be judged outstanding for progress with a progress 8 score of +0.24 in 2016 and a further significant increase to +0.45 in 2017. The Ofsted report and website will give you a flavour for other aspects of the school.
