Are you a passionate, highly organised and driven PE teacher seeking a dynamic opportunity? Surbiton High School invites applications for the position of Teacher of PE to join our dedicated team.
Start Date: April 2025 / September 2025
Tenure: Permanent, Part-time (4 days per week)
Salary: Competitive – based on the Surbiton High School Pay Scale
As a subject taught to all pupils in the School, we are looking for a highly organised, reflective, and proactive PE teacher to join our large and dynamic team. At Surbiton High School, pupils have the opportunity to take part, learn, and compete in a range of sports such as Athletics, Netball, Hockey, Gymnastics, and Tennis. Pupils will also take lessons covering Health Related Fitness (HRF) and Fundamental Skills. The team is dedicated to delivering 'Sport for All' while also providing support to our Sports Scholars and team members to achieve unequivocal success at the borough, regional, and national levels. Positive results are also achieved in Academic GCSE and A-Level PE, and being able to teach this part of the syllabus would be advantageous. You will be joining a specialised and passionate department with varying backgrounds in sport, all of whom enjoy running co-curricular clubs and offering pupils the opportunity to be involved in matches against other schools.

Surbiton High School has approximately 1600 pupils aged between 4 and 18. Our Preparatory Schools are divided into the Girls’ Preparatory School and Boys’ Preparatory School, and the Senior School is girls only from age 11 upwards.
