Teacher of Performing Arts

British International School Hanoi is looking to appoint a Teacher of Performing Arts, to join our talented and dedicated team of educators from August 2022.  For the right candidate, there may also be potential to be appointed Head of Performing Arts.

This is a wonderful opportunity to join an outstanding Performing Arts team. The department is exceptionally resourced with a dedicated dance studio, separate drama studio, and large auditorium. Students can opt to take Drama, Dance, or Music in Years 10-11, or a combination of 2 if desired. At IB level, we currently offer Theatre Studies and Music. This post will cover mostly Year 3-9 Drama and Dance, with opportunities available in the future to teach older year levels. The ability to teach Music is a bonus, but not a necessity to apply.

At BIS we teach the Juilliard Creative Classroom program up to KS3.  Training in this will be provided by specialists from Juilliard from NYC. The dedicated department also lead on high-quality productions outside of the classroom with many performances and extra-curricular activities taking place throughout the year
