We are seeking an ambitious and dynamic colleague who shares our vision of teaching as a vocation, and who will seize an exciting opportunity to work at Rugby School. The successful candidate will join a large forward-thinking department and teach Physics lessons to students throughout the School. From time to time it may be necessary to teach another Science subject up to GCSE level.
Rugby offers the International Baccalaureate alongside A Levels. The School is delighted to offer all students the chance to study the IB, a programme closely aligned with Rugby’s ethos of developing the whole person. Rugby is renowned for its highly successful and innovative approach to education. As a coaching school we are looking for staff who are committed to a professional obligation to improve as teachers and who value personal growth. We offer a varied programme of professional development, including in-house leadership courses for aspiring middle and senior leaders. Our aim is to ensure our colleagues are prepared well for the next step in their career.
The School is a boarding and day school in full operation seven days per week including evenings during term time. Pastoral, co-curricular, cultural and sports activities take place outside normal day-school hours. All full-time staff are expected to make a full contribution. Accommodation is provided for all full-time teaching staff, worth between £12,000 and £30,000 p.a. depending on family size.
