We are also a proud member of the Round Square organisation of schools.

Due to our expanding roll and an influx of new students at the start of this academic year, we are pleased to be accepting applications for an experienced, passionate, inspiring and innovative Teacher of English Language Development for our Primary School for an immediate / as soon as possible start.

You will join a high performing team of specialists who enable students to develop their English quickly, and who engender a love and appreciation for the subject.

Candidates should be able to demonstrate both expertise at teaching English as a Second Language, but also be committed to the wider advancement and development of reading and literacy as a whole.

Whilst a knowledge of CEFr and components such as Starters, Movers & Flyers would be an advantage, what we are really looking for is - very simply - a fabulous teacher of English Language Develoipment who believes in our school vision and mission and wants to bring out the best in everyone.

About Regent's International School, Bangkok

Regent's International School, Bangkok is a well-known and highly regarded international day and boarding school based in the Thai capital, Bangkok. Founded by prominent educator and leader, Dr. Virachai Techavijit in the 1990's, Regent's has become one of the most popular schools in the region and is rooted in its Thai and British heritage as well as international philosophy.

As the first boarding school in Bangkok, we're proud of the excellent provision we provide for students who come to us from a number of countries. All staff are expected to play a role in the wider life of the school, including supporting boarders' activities.

The school delivers a locally appropriate adjusted version of the British Curriculum with students taking International GCSEs at the age of 16 before most participate in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) from 16 to 18. There are around 900 students across the school including 85 boarders. The school enjoys well-maintained facilities which are purpose built.

We are at an exciting stage of our journey and have just begun work on an ambitious, Whole School Strategic Plan. Current priorities for the Secondary School include:

  • Ensuring that all members of our community - students, staff and parents - feel a sense of belonging to our wonderful school
  • Curriculum redesign and development to ensure our offer is personalised to our diverse range of learners
  • Development of the Regent's Teaching and Learning Vision and associated professional growth and development programme
  • Enhancing our home-school partnership
  • Development of a fit-for-purpose PHSE / Global Citizenship curriculum in our ever changing world
  • Developing Leadership at all levels across the school strategically, operationally and as a community attribute
  • Reinvigorating our enrichment offer, trips and visits and our Round Square work in a post-pandemic world

If you feel that this position is of interest and you have the right experience and skills and are ready for a fresh challenge we would love to hear from you.

Depending on your experience and qualifications, we can offer a competitive package, including:
