Job overview

Are you looking to make a real difference to children’s lives? Are you ready to be part of their success? Do you want to take the next exciting step in your career? If you want to work at a “good” school with great students and committed staff, then Lytham St Annes High School is the place for you.

This post offers a great opportunity for all science teachers who are either at the start of their career or who are looking to further develop their teaching skills. We are seeking a well-qualified, enthusiastic, inspiring professional to join our school.

We will look to you to create lesson plans which are engaging, and which allow each child to make progress. In return, you will be given support so that you can be the very best teacher possible. The support you receive will be from a cohesive, creative, and committed team whose aim is to maintain high standards and high expectations in a well-resourced faculty. We have recently undergone building developments integrating brand new state of the art buildings and facilities with our legacy buildings. This has created inspiring workspaces for you to deliver inspiring lessons.

At LSA, teaching and learning is at the centre of everything we do. We are committed to developing the whole child and to this end, there is a wide range of extra-curricular opportunities to get involved in. So, if you are a teacher committed to developing your skills and providing an exceptional learning experience for the students in your care, then we look forward to receiving a completed application from you.

What we can offer you.

  • A robust school CPD training programme designed to enable you to flourish
  • A comprehensive Employee Assistance Programme
  • Pension Scheme
  • Free onsite car park

These are exciting times for the school as we move towards becoming a member of The Coastal Collaborative Trust.

Please take time to look at our website which will give a flavour of our ethos and culture and will demonstrate that we care about each and every child that forms part of our community, and about every member of staff; it is this ethos that makes us ‘a learning community in pursuit of excellence’.

Lytham St Annes High School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful applicant will be required to undertake and maintain an enhanced DBS check.
