Steyning Grammar School is a large, comprehensive school (2000+ on roll of which 390+ are in the Sixth Form) situated in the beautiful South Downs countryside, close to Brighton and the South coast. Our students are fantastic - polite, confident and eager to learn.
Ofsted (February 2013) said that we are a 'good school' with 'outstanding behaviour and outstanding aspects of leadership'.
We wish to appoint a motivated and outstanding practitioner to the post of Teacher of Science. Our Science Faculty covers Science at KS3, Combined science and Separate Science as an option at KS4, GCSE Psychology and Health and Social Care and Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Environmental Science, Psychology, Forensic Science and Health and Social Care at KS5. We welcome applications from teachers at all stages of their career. You will be expected to teach science at KS3 and KS4. We are interested in applicants with specialisms in any of our A-level subjects. A-level teaching is a possibility but not essential. The successful candidate will be ambitious, skilled and a forward thinking teacher who wants to develop their students’ interest, engagement and love of science.
