Our GCSE results are consistently high, while students make excellent progress as shown by the very positive Progress 8 outcomes. Our ‘disadvantaged’ students perform well and we are very proud of the breadth of our curriculum offer; all students follow a core curriculum that includes at least one modern language yet maintains options in Humanities, Creative Arts and Technology in addition to a range of subjects including industry led vocational qualifications, including an extensive range in the Sixth Form. The most recent Ofsted inspection judged the school to be “Outstanding”; this was also the judgement for Teaching. Inspectors noted that, “Much of the school’s success is due to a focus on improving teaching and monitoring students’ progress regularly”.
