An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Teacher of Physics to join our Science team at the Joseph Wright Centre (JWC). The Opportunity
The role is primarily to deliver across our T-Level Science and Applied Science courses. However, there may be future opportunities to teach on other Science qualifications also offered at the JWC such as A-level and GCSE Combined Science.
In 2021 as part of the launch of our Science T level a state-of-the-art laboratory and digital workshop was constructed at the Joseph Wright Centre allowing students to make use of the latest industry equipment and encourage employers to have a greater role in the classroom.
About you
You will deliver inspiring and effective teaching, learning and assessment to enable students to make excellent progress. A relevant degree is essential, and applicants must already have a recognised teaching level 5/6 teaching qualification (PGCE/CertEd).

About Derby College
Derby College is a large general further education college with four sites in or near the city of Derby. It supports around 26,000 learners, who choose from more than 1,000 full-time and part-time apprenticeship, A-level, BTEC and NVQ courses.
Derby College was established as a single institution in 2002 by merging three further education colleges: Mackworth Tertiary College, Wilmorton Tertiary College and Broomfield Agricultural College. A merger between South East Derbyshire College and Derby College was approved in 2010. Heavy investment has been made by the college in its teaching and learning facilities, from the fully equipped teaching kitchens at the Roundhouse campus to the high-tech science labs at the Joseph Wright Centre and the Equestrian Centre at the Broomfield Hall campus.
