Actual Salary £30,000- £46,525 plus SEN Allowance £2,539

Redwood is a large special school for pupils with a wide range of complex SEND from 11-19. This is an exciting time for Redwood; demand for places is high and we have a new and experienced headteacher in post. The successful candidate will:

• Be committed to inclusion and have a passion for SEND
• Must be willing to work across all cohorts of the school as required based on the needs of the organisation
• Be an excellent practitioner with the commitment and motivation to inspire young people with their learning and development
• Be able to demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation through imaginative and adapted lessons which meet individual student needs
• Possess the emotional and physical resilience necessary when working with young people with a range of complex communication, behavioural and medical needs
• Have the ability to foster good relationships with other staff, pupils, parents and the wider community
• Be effective team players with proven ability to coordinate and direct the work of classroom support staff

We are also looking for a person who has:

• A willingness or experience of teaching students with Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
• Proven ability or aspiring to be an outstanding teacher with a passion to improve outcomes for all students
• The knowledge and understanding of how to use a range of technologies across the curriculum
• The ability to contribute fully to the values, aims and life of the school
