About Prospect House 

Prospect House is proud to be part of the Prospere Learning Trust. We offer an innovative curriculum to children with very significant learning needs and other associated additional needs, aged 3 – 11 years old. We recently moved into our brand new school site in Higher Blackley, North Manchester which provides outstanding specialist facilities including a state-of-the-art hydropool, ASC friendly classrooms and corridors, Food Technology Room, Library, Immersive Learning Room, Sensory Regulation Room, Parent Room, Pets as Therapy Dogs (Alfie and Ovie) and two KuneKune Pigs (Sebastian and Dolores). This is an exciting time to join our friendly and welcoming team as we grow and develop our new site and school community. Find out more about our school in the candidate brochure below. 

Main purpose of the job:

The post holder is required to fulfil the professional responsibilities which are common to all classroom teachers in the school, as outlined in the current School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Document.

These detail the professional and particular duties required of teachers, together with requirements for management time, working time, guaranteed planning and preparation time. The school complies with these requirements in order to make reasonable demands of teachers.

The post holder’s key responsibilities will be improving the standards of learning and raising levels of student achievement for all students in their care.

Key relationships:

The post holder is accountable to a nominated Senior Leader and to the Headteacher.

Once shortlisting has taken place, this search will be carried out for all candidates who will attend an interview.
