About the Role:

As a Computing Teaching Assistant, you will support teachers and pupils in Years 3 to 8, helping to foster a positive learning environment and contributing to pupils' academic and personal development. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with individual and group activities directed by the teacher.
  • Supporting lessons with computing equipment, including setting up and maintaining devices and Lego robots.
  • Offering administrative support and contributing to the development of technology use across the school.
  • Helping to ensure a stimulating, challenging, and inclusive learning experience for all pupils.
  • Participating in school duties, meetings, and ongoing professional development.

The Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive individual with a passion for computing and education. The ideal candidate will:

  • Have excellent literacy and numeracy skills, with GCSE Mathematics at grade B or equivalent.
  • Demonstrate experience supporting children in Key Stages 2 and 3, ideally with exposure to working with pupils with learning difficulties.
  • Be passionate about computing and keen to help pupils develop their digital skills.
  • Possess strong IT skills, particularly in OneNote and SharePoint, with an understanding of how technology supports learning.
  • Be organised, flexible, and able to communicate effectively with staff, pupils, and parents.
