Job overview

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and inspirational Teaching Assitant to join our nurturing, caring team at Goodwyn School, on a full time basis to provide, alongside the class teacher, a safe, caring and stimulating learning environment, supporting our KS2 or KS1 children with teaching, learning and pastoral care.

At Goodwyn School our children feel secure and excited about learning due to our dynamic and personalised approach to teaching. We are looking for someone who can support this, helping our children to become the best of who they are.

As a class teaching assistant you will play a pivotal role in contributing to providing an excellent education for all pupils using your range of KS1 or KS2 experience, expertise and enthusiasm to support the learning of individual students,

We are seeking an excellent teaching with a passion for leraning and a proven background either in KS2 and preparing children for 11+ exams or in KS1. A commitment to an 'inclusive' approach to learning is essential, as is the ability to work alongside the class teacher to tailor the support to the individual children.

Salary will be based on job role, experience and qualifications.

Goodwyn School is situated in a leafy part of NW London. Our pupils are eager to learn and possess a contagious enthusiasm for all that school has to offer. Classes are small, enabling teachers to provide exciting learning opportunities and maximise progress. The school has a warm, welcoming atmosphere where individuals are valued and encouraged to develop their interests and talents and to ‘grow’ intellectually to their full potential in our non-selective environment. Many of our pupils sit for 7+ and 11+ places and we help their families to select the right school for each child. We embrace new approaches to teaching and learning and have a team of staff who accept the evolution of new ideas and concepts whilst carefully blending them with traditional methods.
