We are seeking to recruit a dynamic and committed Teaching Assistant who will work to support our classroom teachers in providing classroom management within mainstream classes and in our Student Support Centre. The successful candidate will work to provide general support to our Special Educational Needs children, promoting access to learning as directed by the classroom teacher. Being a Teaching Assistant at Guiseley School, no two days will be the same, we need an individual that will understand no two students can be treated exactly the same. Our students are in need of a very special teaching assistant who will support them with an array of complex and challenging behaviours. Guiseley School is full of exceptional young people. We have an active, visible leadership team, a committed and expert Student Support Centre. We have just moved into our brand new, state of the art buildings and are excited to have opened our new campus in March 2023. There has never been a better time to join Guiseley School.

Salary scales for Guiseley School are part of Leeds City Council’s NJC PayScale’s. Salary information detailed is pro-rated to reflect the ‘take home’ pay for the successful candidate.

The role is offered on a full-time, permanent basis from September 2024.

Guiseley School is an 11-18 fully inclusive school situated in a small town in the City of Leeds in West Yorkshire. Historically part of the West Riding of Yorkshire, it is now a suburb of northwest Leeds and close to the stunning Dales. The school is part of a Co-operative Trust established in 2014. The school works jointly with several local schools to promote the welfare and success of the children of Aireborough.
