Richmond Hill Academy is seeking to recruit inspirational colleagues in a number of pivotal roles for the ongoing development of the academy. The roles are of great importance to our work in providing outstanding education for the local community.

Teaching Assistant

Level 1: A1-B1 (SCP 1- 6) £23,656- £25,183

Level 2: B3 (SCP 7-11) £25,584 – £27,269

(pro rated depending on contract type)

Our teaching assistants are of great importance to our academy and support teaching colleagues in implementing a curriculum which is tailored to individual needs, enabling our pupils to reach their full potential. As a successful teaching assistant you will be dedicated, passionate and excited about enabling the learning and development of our pupils.  

Our new Teaching Assistants will: 

  • Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons and activities, ensuring pupils understanding and engagement. 
  • Have good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff. 
  • A positive, nurturing attitude and a passion for supporting pupil’s learning and development. 
  • The ability to work constructively as part of a team. 
  • Experience with working with or caring for children of relevant age. 
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills.

Richmond Hill Academy is a three-form entry school (630 places) with a 52-place nursery and Rainbow Base, a Resource Provision for children with complex communication needs.
