Ings Primary School is looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant Level 2 to join our team. The successful candidate must have an understanding of the primary curriculum and a positive approach to managing children’s behaviour. The candidate should have high expectations of the pupils and of themselves and be fully committed to ensuring the best possible outcomes for our children. Experience in all phases to be considered.

The position is based in our Orchard ASC hub and presents an exciting opportunity for someone with experience of successful work with pupils with SEND to shape future development. 

We also expect candidates to have excellent communication skills as well as excellent skills in English, Maths and other curriculum areas. The candidate will be hard working, creative, enthusiastic and able to work constructively and proactively as part of a team.

Ings Primary School is a Community Primary co-educated day school catering for approximately 270 children, including a 26 place purpose built nursery. It is not affiliated to any religious denomination. The school has an early years admission policy and this allows us to admit pupils at the beginning of the school year in which they reach their 5th birthday. We also have a purpose built Nursery Unit. The Nursery, Foundation Stage and Year 1 children are accommodated in a single storey building. Children in Years 2,3,4,5 and 6 are in the double storey building.

Our recent Ofsted in October 2014 was judged as "Good". We are committed to the "Open Futures" approach.
