Job overview

We are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant who really cares about helping children to succeed.

We are looking for someone who is kind, reliable and has a passion for working in the classroom, as well as someone who is enthusiastic and builds rapport well with staff and students alike.

To be successful in this role, you will have a good knowledge of current practices on the best ways to support children’s learning and behaviour. You will also need a good understanding of areas of literacy, numeracy and science. You will hold an NVQ level 3 for Teaching Assistants or be able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills, and experience.

An ideal position if you are considering a career in teaching. It will give you an opportunity to see different teaching and learning styles as well as experience and appreciate wider school life. You will have the ability to attend the de Ferrers Trust 'Teacher Training Seminars'.
