Situated in Gwersyllt, Wrexham, Ysgol Bryn Alyn is a community secondary day school for children between the ages of 11 and 16. It educates around 702 girls and boys at present. Students come from primarily seven local primary schools. This includes Gwersyllt Junior, Ysgol Heulfan, St. Mary’s, New Broughton, Brymbo, Tanyfron C.P., Black Lane C.P, Pentre Broughton and Brynteg C.P. School. Students are taught through the medium of English. 

Over the past 10 years the site has been modernised with the building of a new Science block. September 2017 saw the opening of a brand new teaching and reception area in line with the 21st Century Schools programme.

Values and Vision 

Ysgol Bryn Alyn values pupils who care for others and teachers who nurture the students. The teachers should know the abilities of each child at the school. The school also encourages children to take responsibility for their actions, behave in a well-mannered way and be tolerant of other religions. Bryn Alyn values students who take advantage of the opportunities presented to them. Students should have moral and personal developments.
