Pay Scale: Grade E (Point 11-16)

Full time/full year salary is £25,979 – £28,282 (pay will be pro-rata to term time only/hours agreed)

Hours: Part-time (to be agreed with the successful candidate)

Contract: Permanent, term time only

Mossley Hollins High School are looking to recruit a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to tutor students (in class or in small groups) and other lessons, to ensure they make accelerated and sustained progress and are able to access the full curriculum.

 

Qualifications and experience in working with children/youth will be considered an advantage. Induction, ongoing training, support and guidance will be provided to the successful candidate. Opportunities for career development, including into teaching, will also be made available for colleagues in our Trust schools.

 

This pivotal role in school will be fulfilled by a candidate who is able to demonstrate:

  • Good numeracy, literacy and ICT skills
  • Outstanding classroom practice with high expectations for achievements and behaviour
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work under pressure and remain calm
  • A passion about teaching and learning

Located in the town of Mossley, Greater Manchester, Mossley Hollins High School is a co-educational secondary school with around 800 pupils aged 11-16. This makes it smaller than the average school of its type, with an economically diverse student intake. Founded in the 1960s, the school has seen extensive redevelopment and modernisation over the years, with the most recent buildings being opened in 2011.The school works closely with a number of other institutions in the local area, to provide better outcome for its pupils, although Mossley Hollins is a community school rather than an academy.
