The Role:

We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team on a full-time, permanent, term-time only basis. You will support our teachers in creating an engaging and supportive learning environment for our pupils.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities.
  • Assist with the planning and preparation of classroom materials.
  • Provide one-on-one support to pupils who require additional help.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor and report on pupil progress to teachers and parents.
  • Assist in managing classroom behavior effectively.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to ensure the well-being and development of all pupils.


Person Specification:

Qualifications and Training:

  • Relevant qualifications in education or childcare.
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development.


Experience:

  • Experience working with children in a classroom setting.
  • Experience supporting children with special educational needs is desirable.


Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.


Personal Qualities:

  • A positive and proactive approach to supporting children’s learning.
  • Commitment to upholding and promoting the ethos and values of the school.
  • High expectations for all pupils and belief in bringing out the best in all.
