Kingsway Park High School (KPHS) is seeking enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to work closely with our students, empowering them to achieve their full potential.
About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant specialising in SEMH support, you will:
- Provide tailored support to students with SEMH needs, including those with Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).
- Use co-regulation techniques, restorative approaches, and emotional support strategies to help students manage their feelings and behaviours.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to develop and deliver interventions targeting social, emotional, and communication skills.
- Support individual and small-group activities designed to build confidence, independence, and resilience.
- Contribute to the creation and implementation of individual SEND Passports and SEMH action plans.
- Act as a trusted mentor for students, creating a safe and supportive environment where they can thrive.
About You:

- Understands the importance of inclusion and equity in education.
- Has strong interpersonal skills and can build positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
- Is proactive and adaptable, with the ability to respond to the diverse needs of students.
- Has experience or an interest in working with young people in education, care, or youth settings.
- Is eager to develop their knowledge and skills through professional development and training.
