 TEACHING ASSISTANT VACANCY

Start Date: September 2024

36 hours per week – Term time only

Unqualified Scale 2 point 3- £26,238 (pro rata)

  Qualified Scale 3 point 5 - £27,030 (pro rata)

  

We are looking to recruit  teaching assistants to come and join our team of happy and highly motivated staff and pupils. These roles are either to work as a 1to1 with children with special educational needs or in our school Nursery. St Joachim’s is a caring and friendly Catholic primary school that is 2 forms of entry, and is part of a growing and supportive Catholic Academy Trust.

Applicants should be enthusiastic, patient, flexible, hardworking, proactive and able to work with a variety of age groups and learning needs. The post is based at St Joachim’s and will include both whole class and individual 1to1 support. GCSE or equivalent qualifications in English, maths and science are desirable and excellent spoken and written English would be an advantage. Candidates with a creative or sporting interest or background would be very welcomed. 

 

Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a maths and English test and have a school based interview.

 

The schools in the Academy Trust are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore successful applicants will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and medical questionnaire.
