Job overview

Rupert House School is seeking a Teaching Assistant, with a sports coach focus to work within the classroom, and encourage students to participate in a variety of sports and physical activities.

This role combines the rewarding experience of supporting students academically and the excitement of fostering their physical development through sports. Contributing to the school’s vision of providing a high-quality education for its pupils, by providing effective and inspirational teaching.

The post holder will:

  • Assist the Year 4 teacher with daily classroom activities, including lesson preparation, classroom management, and student supervision
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who need extra help with their studies
  • Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Support a high quality, rich, stimulating and enabling learning environment containing resources that will capture pupils’ attention and lead to independent exploration
  • Support and implement a sports curriculum that promotes physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship
  • Provide effective pastoral care, meeting the individual physical and emotional needs

Hours, Salary & Benefits:

Hours: Fixed term contract from Jan 25 - Jul 25 8:15am - 3:45pm. Some additional hours may be required, such as parents evenings etc.

Salary: A competitive salary will be offered, dependent on experience and qualifications.
