The jobs are fixed term and the period of contract is 1 year(extension possible).

Qualifications:

Degree required: Overseas or Hong Kong Bachelor's degree or above (in related subjects).

Experience: A minimum of 3 years teaching experience required IB experience an advantage). (Not suitable for newly qualified teacher.)

The Successful Candidate Profile:

  • A dynamic and pro-active teacher, preferably with independent sector or international experience
  • A strong team player willing to support other colleagues
  • Good working knowledge of the IB Diploma Programme and recent developments
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Pastoral responsibility or experience would be an advantage
  • Willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school
  • Willingness to help develop the IB programme as the course expands

School Overview: 

The High School Attached to Northeast Normal University is the affiliated high school of Northeast Normal University, and is often regarded as one of the most prestigious high schools in People's Republic of China.

In the most recent national ranking of the top 100 high schools, Northeast Normal University Affiliated High School achieved the 10th position nation-wide.

HSANNU currently maintains seven campuses. These campuses cater to a diverse educational spectrum. The total land area exceeds 440,000 square meters, and the faculty is comprises over 1,690 frontline educators, while the students over 19,500.

The IB Center (The Center') opened in August 2011 and is growing in size, with a planned annual intake of around 150 students. The Center prepares students for higher education outside China through a 3-year international curriculum, which includes International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IBDP). To achieve this, The Center is staffed by expatriate teachers.

Note all students who complete the programme. are required to take the IB examinations.
