We are recruiting a Technician in Painting & Decorating to join the College, to provide specific direct support for teaching staff engaged on workshop, classroom and off-site activities.
Your responsibilities will include organising materials and equipment required by Lecturers for such activities. To order materials and equipment, maintain stock and undertake periodic checks, and to follow safe working practices and procedures personally (such as wearing of safety equipment where necessary).
You will possess or be willing to work towards a recognised qualification in Painting and Decorating and you will have experience of working within Education and with young people and Maintenance of construction equipment and hand tools and an ability to identify components relevant to the trade area
The salary for this post is up to £22,476

The campus has superior sports facilities which include a large sports centre, with a climbing wall which meets the criteria for outward bound courses and a state-of-the-art fitness suite. There is also a UEFA standard, full-sized outdoor 3G pitch and a 5-a-side multi-use pitch. There are excellent facilities for performance and exhibitions including a 160 seat Performance Theatre and 110 seat Lecture Theatre.
