Job overview
As a Technology Technician, you will play a key role in supporting the Design and Technology department by preparing materials, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a safe working environment for staff and students. You will assist teachers during practical lessons, help with the upkeep of machinery, and contribute to the smooth operation of the department.
Contract: Permanent, term time only plus 1 week (40 weeks) – 37 hours
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing and setting up materials and equipment for practical lessons.
- Assisting in the maintenance and servicing of machinery and tools.
- Supporting students and teachers during lessons, ensuring a safe and efficient learning environment.
- Managing stock levels and ordering materials as required.
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
What We’re Looking For:
- A strong interest in technology and practical subjects.
- Experience in a similar role or a background in a related field is desirable.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations (training will be provided if needed).
