King Edward VI College, Stourbridge is a sixth form college and a member of the Heart of Mercia Trust. As A level specialists, we provide a deep and thorough academic curriculum and help our students to develop excellent independent study skills. Just as important is our broader development curriculum, with almost 100 different clubs, groups and activities operating on a weekly basis, and excellent preparation for careers and HE. Our students come from a great variety of social and cultural backgrounds, and we take pride in supporting them to form an active and friendly community.

We seek a part-time teacher of English Language and English Literature (minimum 0.6 FTE – 0.8 FTE) to provide cover within the department temporarily. We require someone to start as soon as possible.  

Working as part of our energetic, collaborative English team, the post holder will play a key role in inspiring students to engage with the subject material and to participate actively in lessons. As a committed and dedicated teacher, the post holder will contribute to this subject area, ensuring students benefit from a high-quality learning experience.

This is a temporary post, subject to the conditions of service handbook of the Sixth Form Colleges Association. Salary will be paid on the Sixth Form Colleges Association teacher staff pay scale pro rata, NSP 1 – 9 (£30,500 - £47,133), depending on experience.
