Job overview

We are looking for a Theatre and AV Technician who will be able to provide support to the IT, Drama, Music and Media departments in all aspects of audio-visual provision for academic studies and performance production(s) across the whole school.

Main duties will involve acting as a recording engineer for student coursework, working as the technical manager for school Drama and Music performances and assisting with the set up and delivery of audio-visual equipment for presentations, events and lessons as required.

In addition, the post holder is responsible for ensuring all equipment is maintained and updated to ensure and enable efficient delivery of this role.

Experience of technical or production work within a theatre, events, entertainment or school environment is desirable but above all else, the candidate should display a proactive, “can do” mindset, excellent time management skills and enthusiasm for the role.

This role involves some evening and weekend work for which time of in lieu will be given.

We are a co-educational School, for children from 2½ to 18 years, situated just outside Esher, Surrey. The School is set in the historic landscaped grounds of the Claremont Estate.
