Read Write Inc. is growing at an exponential rate.
We provide excellent training on the Read Write Inc. programmes and rigorous in-school support to ensure all children learn to read.
We need exceptional KS1 and reception teachers, and reading leaders, to join our team of 130+ trainers.
Successful candidates will receive top quality training and on-going professional development from Ruth Miskin and her team.
These positions are term time only.
There are also many opportunities to take on additional responsibilities such as coaching colleagues and working with trusts and English Hubs.

Recruitment process
You need Qualified Teacher Status, a full driving licence and the right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities
Provide excellent training on Read Write Inc. programmes
Provide rigorous on-going support for schools, to ensure all children learn to read
After eighteen months of coaching and support you will be able/expected to:
- Work without the need of supervision – ensuring your trainer dashboard is always up to date and every school has booked the right package of training and support (standard, termly or intensive).
- Teach any child to read regardless of age, background or need.
- Provide a high standard of training, keeping up with the latest online training and films.
- Make the best use of practice and coaching to improve your teaching, tutoring and school support during PPA time.
- Support schools on Development Days and during Remote Progress Meetings, using the School Portal, Online Assessment and latest documentation.
- Galvanise leaders and staff to focus on their slowest progress readers, challenging them to keep up all pupils from the very beginning.
- Keep leaders buoyant and help them find solutions to overcome organisational barriers.
- Prepare diligently before Development days and Remote Progress Meetings, using the school’s half-termly data to provide leaders with clear next steps.
- Respond clearly, quickly and professionally to all internal and external communication, including emails and remote meeting links.
- Show evidence that in your schools, 90%+ children meet the requirements of the Phonics Screening Check in Year 1 and 100% in Y2 – as a direct result of your actions.
Skills and qualities
Essential:
- Have Qualified Teacher Status, full driving licence and the right to work in the UK.
- Be an outstanding literacy teacher
- Be able to engage and motivate teachers and leaders
- Communicate clearly - orally and in writing
- Work well in a team
- Be able to plan and prioritise work
- Be committed to personal and professional development
Desirable:
- A good working knowledge of Read Write Inc. programmes
- Experience of teaching the programme as a class teacher or Reading Leader.
