Job overview

Holme Grange is a successful, traditional Independent School with a real soul. We aim to stimulate intellectual curiosity and encourage pupils to embrace challenge. We have high expectations, setting high standards for ourselves and our pupils. Pastoral care is the responsibility of every member of staff and is one of the many strengths of the School.

We have innovative, forward thinking staff with an understanding of how children learn and continue to learn ourselves. We offer a delightful working environment which is well resourced.

We are looking to appoint an inspiring and well-qualified visiting Trinity Drama teacher to deliver individual and group Trinity Drama sessions to children across the Prep School and Eaton Grange (Year 3-11), preparing students for grading and certification, though initially working primarily in Eaton Grange – our Senior School (Years 7-11). The drama department has a successful track record in preparing pupils for Trinity Drama exams, with many achieving distinction level.

The role would suit someone looking for part time hours but who has flexibility to meet the growing demand and popularity of Trinity Drama certification. The post operates on a permanent “zero hours” contract basis with the total hours’ worked determined by the number of students who have enrolled. There is, therefore, scope for the right person to grow the role by further, enthusing pupils and developing our Trinity Drama offer further.

The postholder is accountable for:

·        The quality and effectiveness of 1:1 and group Trinity drama lessons

·        Preparing pupils for external examination

·        Liaison with Trinity lead staff regarding timetabling and administering to the course requirements.

Holme Grange is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Applicants for all jobs will undergo appropriate child-protection screening including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check to enhanced level. A Prohibition Check is also carried out. Holme Grange School is an equal opportunities employer.
