Carlton Academy Trust (CAT) was formed in 2019 out of the success of Carlton Bolling an ‘Outstanding’ rated inner-city Bradford secondary school. It has undergone rapid growth and currently has three secondary, three primary schools, and two special schools, educating just under 5000 students. The trust aspires to the highest standards, with the aspiration that all its schools are rated ‘Outstanding’.
With English being such a key component of academic outcomes and literacy underpinning performance across all subject area, CAT now wishes to further raise standards by appointing a high-quality practitioner with a proven track record of outstanding outcomes in accordance with the trust ethos of ‘Excellence for All’. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development, implementation, and oversight of English and literacy across all three of the trust’s secondary schools.
This role is ideal for a practitioner who is ambitious and keen to advance their career in a senior leadership role but has a strong commitment to and wishes to specialise in English/literacy.
The successful candidate will be afforded a genuine leadership role, with considerable freedoms to innovate and design systems to obtain the high standards expected by the trust.
