Trust Facilities Manager – Permanent Contract


We are seeking to appoint an experienced Facilities Manager to join our Central Trust team. If you are someone who has experience of working in FM, have led on capital projects, have experience of managing a team and have a passion for this sector, you may be the person we are looking for - we would love to have a chat with you about the role and your potential application.

The successful candidate will have an operational background in facilities management. Their background and experience will support them in making an impact in this role; managing a variety of support staff including site, cleaning and contractors; setting high standards; and ensuring compliance at every level. The role will involve working in partnership with key stakeholders within schools as well as across the trust, whilst using their specialist knowledge to anticipate needs and provide a professional and joined up service.

As well as day to day operational activity, the post holder will work on key capital projects, in particular the new build at Newhouse Academy – whilst collaborating to create safe and compliant estates.

The post will be predominantly based at Newhouse Academy, with travel to the Trust Head Office and to our schools as and when required. A driving licence is essential for this position.

The Role…

Contract Information: 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, start and finish times to be negotiated and agreed at interview. All year round, annual leave entitlement (see Job Description)

Start date: October 2023

Salary: NJC Scale Point Range 32-36 (starting point is based on experience)

Actual salary is £38,296 - £42,503 (pay award pending)
