The BOA Group are seeking to appoint a motivated, dedicated and aspirational Vice Principal to join the team at BOA Digital Technologies Academy, Barrack Street, Birmingham.

This is an exciting new role in a growing school. The postholder will have a unique opportunity to shape the future of a new school as we welcome the first Key Stage 4 cohort and prepare for the addition of a sixth form in 2027.

Currently comprising of three academies – ‘BOA Creative, Digital and Performing Arts’ (opened in 2011), ‘BOA Stage and Screen Production Academy’ (opened in 2021) and ‘BOA Digital Technologies’ (opened in September 2022) – located in the centre of Birmingham and within the hub of the creative and digital industries in the West Midlands, we benefit from superb facilities for academic, vocational and extra-curricular activities.

THE ROLE:

BOA Group is seeking to appoint a Vice Principal, working alongside the wider staff and leaders to provide excellence across the Group. The role will be primarily based at BOA Digital Technologies Academy with travel to other BOA locations as required.

The Vice Principal is accountable to the Principal for ensuring the educational success of the Academy within the overall framework of the Trust’s strategic plan as well as the individual Academy’s Development Plan (ADP).

The Vice Principal is accountable for supporting the Principal to develop and ensure the quality of curriculum offer, the internal organisation, operational management and for supervision over teaching and support staff.

He/she should create a culture of constant improvement within a collaborative professional learning environment and be an inspirational leader, committed to the highest achievement for all in every area of the Academy’s work.

About BOA Digital Technologies Academy

BOA Digital Technologies Academy is an exciting 11 to 18 school that opened in September 2022. Located in a brand new and purpose built building in the hub of the digital and creative industries situated around the Eastside and the Knowledge Quarter, BOA Digital provides a distinctive education through a digital and creative curriculum.

The Academy is a growing school. We currently have circa 360 students on roll in Key Stage 3 and we are preparing for our first cohort of student to enter Key Stage 4 and commence GCSE studies in September 2025. BOA Digital will also have a sixth form provision proving advanced level pathways into careers in the digital sector, which will open in 2027. 

BOA Digital is part of the BOA Group, home to sister schools BOA Creative, Digital and Performing Arts Academy next door to Millenium Point, and BOA Stage and Screen Production Academy in the Jewellery Quarter.
