WMAT have an exciting opportunity for a Vice Principal to start in September 2024 at The Park School in Woking, Surrey (close to mainline station) welcoming those from both a specialist and mainstream background to apply.
The Park School is a vibrant specialist school for students aged 11 to 16 with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD). The school has flourished as part of WMAT and is very proud of all they do sharing the trusts visions and commitment to transforming lives and creating memories which are celebrated for a lifetime.
A highly ambitious and dedicated Vice Principal is required who is restless in their pursuit for better. The Park School is bursting with potential and this post is perfect for a leader who wants to make a difference in a supportive and forward-thinking school focussed on ensuring their students have the best possible long term life outcomes. As an experienced leader, excellent teacher and person-centred practitioner, the new Vice Principal will be required to get involved with a myriad of situations as well as having the ability to step back and maintain a wide-angled lens and whole school perspective. The successful candidate will recognise that it is about the whole school staff team and students.
As part of the WMAT wider leadership group the new Vice Principal will make an important contribution to the growth of the Trust. WMAT offer excellent CPD, including confidential professional coaching. The successful applicant will develop their leadership within a specialist setting with the guidance and support of a successful Trust.

The Park School is a mixed Special School for students aged 11 to 16 with EHCPs for Learning and Additional Needs, drawing students from a wide range of socio-economic groups and from a wide radius. We have the same expectations as a mainstream secondary school and offer a secondary curriculum model. Our focus is very much on outcomes at 16, aiming to equip our students with the best academic and social and emotional foundations for adulthood.
