About the role

If your answer to these questions is yes, then ICS may be the learning community for you. Due to an exciting time of expansion and growth we are looking for a Vice Principal at our Khalifa City branch.

This role offers a unique opportunity to shape and develop our state of the art school and really have an impact on the pupils at ICS. Opening in August 2021, the school has rapidly grown to almost five hundred pupils in just 16 months. We have a wide range of nationalities, not only in the student body but also in our teaching staff. Our unique location in Khalifa city puts us in the heart of this vibrant and multicultural part of Abu Dhabi. A key part of our philosophy is bringing our families and the wider community into the school to join us on our educational journey.


Responsibilities

·      Ensure a safe, orderly, and smooth functioning environment conducive to learning.

·      Support and administer the annual school assessment working in conjunction with the school SLT and school department leaders.

·      Collaborate with Principal to supervise and evaluate teachers, supervisors and curriculum support staff as assigned.

·      Provide leadership in screening and interviewing applicants including non-teaching positions, and/or recommending of applicants to be interviewed.

·      Direct and monitor whole school assessment including directing the MAP student assessments, overseeing the processes related to assessment and reporting student attainment and progress and data collection.

·      Assist, develop and implement plans for staff CPD development that facilitates professional growth and enhance the quality and efficiency of teaching.

Minimum Qualifications and experience

·      Bachelor Degree in Education of Degree with PGCE is essential

·      10 Years educational Experience, with at least 3 years in leadership roles

·      Experience leading whole school development projects


Additional Qualifications or experience

·      Masters level qualification

·      NPQH

·      Current or previous roles as Vice Principal
